- confusion on round five?

I am a self-taught crocheter, and I struggle with reading patterns. That said, can you help me untangle round five? I think the part between *'s should be repeated a total of three times, and then the rest of the instructions. So "rep from * 3x" means a TOTAL of three times, not three times more. Then work the last corner?
